Wisely Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our services.
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and account credentials. We also collect usage data such as actions taken within our services, session information, and payment records. We do not collect sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act without your explicit consent.
We use your personal information to: (a) provide and improve our services; (b) process payments and maintain billing records; (c) communicate with you about your account and our services; (d) comply with legal obligations; and (e) prevent fraud and ensure security. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may disclose your personal information to: (a) payment processors (Stripe) for billing purposes; (b) cloud infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements; (c) law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by law. We require all third parties to maintain appropriate security standards consistent with this policy.
Your data is stored on servers located in Sydney, Australia. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no internet transmission is completely secure.
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) correct inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your account and personal data (see Section 7); (d) make a complaint about how we handle your information. You may request permanent deletion of your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personally identifiable information (name, email address, authentication credentials) within 30 days. Financial transaction records are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Australian taxation law (Income Tax Assessment Act 1997), but are anonymised so they cannot be linked back to you.
We use essential cookies necessary for our services to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies by default. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect service functionality.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through our services at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
